[Bug 989968] Re: **CRITICAL** Unable to create '/root/cache/dconf'; dconf will not work properly.
>From http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=914271 .
It does help, when you first boot as live CD and then remove ubiquity-slideshow-(xubuntu) packadge. you can do it from live session bu opening terminal and typing there: sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-slideshow-xubuntu. Instead of "xubuntu" use your distro name.
I did this on Lubuntu 12.04 and then started the installation from
desktop icon and this time it went smoothly.
** Also affects: ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided

Bug description:
Installed both Lubuntu and Xubuntu 12.04 and they both installed but the error message still exists in the dropdown terminal box in the install window. No noticable problems as a result of this though.
Have not tried Ubuntu
Xubuntu 12.04 LTS LiveCD
Installing to 16GB persistent Duracell flash drive
On a Samsung R530
With an Intel Celeron processor
And 3GB of RAM
