[Bug 967308] Re: Sync slideshow apps with Ubuntu : Mention Gnote or Zim in the slideshow
Thank you for reporting this Lars, I'm already working on the slides for
Lubuntu 12.10 and have made sure this is fixed.

Title:
Sync slideshow apps with Ubuntu : Mention Gnote or Zim in the
slideshow
Status in “ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
In Progress
Bug description:
the slideshow for the Desktop installations of Lubuntu still steers
users to Tomboy. It has been dropped from the default and is fairly
bloated (30MB), not to mention the other disadvantages that come with
that particular software's dependencies.
It would be better for us to mention Gnote instead which is much
smaller at 16MB or even Zim, which weighs in at 4MB. Basket and
Knotes should be out of the question because of the heavy KDE
dependencies. Ubuntu has moved beyond Tomboy and so should Lubuntu.
