Hi all,

we have an small but important update. We finally have a fixed date and
place for the UbuCon Europe.

Our initial plan was to do it at the University, sadly this plans didn't
succeed due to several issues. So we moved over to Plan B and reserved
some rooms at the Unperfekthaus, which is also in Essen. It will take
place from the 18th to 20th November.

To be clear, these are the rooms which we can access:

Some of them are big enough, some of them are pretty small. The webpages
lists the number of possible persons in the room. The website is in
German though.

## The Unperfekthaus

The Unperfekthaus is a rather cool place. Even if you bored of all the
Ubuntu stuff, you can walk around and see other things in the house. We
do need to pay 25€ per Person per day, so we definitely need a couple of
sponsors. These 25€ inclused a flatrate for softdrinks and hot drinks
and a buffet which is open for everyone from the morning until 4pm. The
building also has free wifi. We currently booked for 150 people, but we
only have to pay for the people who are coming. (And there is no limit
to 150 people)

## Current plannings

We still have a couple of ideas to extend the UbuCon Europe a little
bit, like a "culture & fun" day on thursday and a hackathon on friday.
The talks will be on saturday and sunday. These plannings might change.
We're open to any suggestions and great ideas. :)

That's it so far. We still have much time until the event starts, more
information are coming soon, hopefully. We don't make a big announcement
yet, until we hopefully have some "big and famous" names who attends the
event. :)
