I just discovered
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FedoraDirectoryServer.  There's a
section entitled, "Installation of Fedora Directory Server 1.1.x under
Ubuntu 9.10".  The version there seems old though, as the official
version is now at 1.2.6.a2.

Bug description:
It would be great if we could get native Ubuntu/Debian builds for
389 Directory Server, now that all the components of it are
reported to be open sourced.
