Title:
Cannot enter extended key press in landscape mode
Status in “ubuntu-keyboard” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “ubuntu-keyboard” source package in Saucy:
Fix Released
Bug description:
20130919
TEST CASE:
1. Create a new message with the OSK in landscape mode
2. Long-press on a key with extended characters showing (e.g. y)
EXPECTED RESULT:
The extended characters should appear in a dialog for the user to select from, as they do in portrait mode
ACTUAL RESULT:
There is a grey line displayed on the screen where the extended character dialog should show, but it is not possible to enter one of the extended characters. See screen shot for detail.
*** UPDATE 24/09/2013 ***
This defect can be reproduced in portrait mode by hiding and re-displaying the OSK
STEPS:
1: Create a new message and then hide the OSK (by swiping down) in portrait mode
2. Display the OSK again in portrait mode
3. Try to enter an extended key press
ACTUAL RESULT:
A grey line appears on the screen where the extended key dialog should be displayed and it is not possible to select an extended key. See extended_key_portrait.png for more detail.
EXPECTED RESULT
The extended key dialog should display and it should be possible to select an extended key press.
