Status in “webbrowser-app” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  It would be a nice enhancement to be able to open links in a new tab
  without need to go to the activity view. Perhaps a option as part of a
  long press on the link. This is particularly useful on the tablet.
