I'm going to mark this as fixed now. I cannot reproduce on latest trusty
promoted image. I'll reopen if I can reproduce.

Title:
deleting number from contact does not work well
Status in Address Book App:
Fix Released
Status in “address-book-app” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Open a contact with multiple phone numbers, select edit from the
bottom toolbar, then select a number to delete. An 'x' with a circle
in it on the right. Clicking it clears the number. At this point the
interface is awkward-- because you must click 'Save' to save an empty
number. However, doing so shows a the swirling ring showing the app is
working, but it gets stuck there. Once it told me there was an error
(Failed to load contacts). I clicked 'ok' and went back in and the
number was deleted. Other times, it messed up the contact and it had a
number in the contacts display view, but in the edit view the number
field was present, but empty.
This may have been related to two contacts with the same name being
merged into one view-- I had a contact with double entries and tried
to delete it. I got a "Failed to load contacts" message, but then the
app seemed to right itself.
