I see about a 1 sec delay, where my first hello is not transmitted and
the other phone hears some static.

  Significant delay when answering a call

Status in “dialer-app” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  After pushing the button to answer a call, the person on the other end
  can't hear me until after a certain time span. I'm not sure how long
  this is, but quite a few words fit in there. My old phone doesn't have
  a delay that I had ever noticed.

  If there's absolutely no way to optimize this, I would at least like
  to have an acoustic signal after which I can start talking.
