The current behavior is consistent for all viewing actions. The guidance
here is also in conflict with the desired transition when opening an
album defined in another bug.

Bug description:
  When you tap on an album in the album tab, the album launches into
  full view. The header with tabs disappears as soon as you tap on the
  album, whereas it should infact not change state at all. If the header
  was hidden, it should remain so. If the header was visible, it should
  remain visible.
