Title:
[Gallery] On first launch, user needs to see some place holder images
Status in Ubuntu UX bugs:
Fix Committed
Status in “gallery-app” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Current situation:
On first launch, the user lands on the 'events' tab of the gallery app
and sees a large blank screen. This makes the app look like it's still
either loading, or it's broken.
-------------
Desired solution
To help the user make sense of the app on first launch and give them feedback of the app's successful launch, place holder images could be used to show how the app could look like when full of user's own images.
if this is not possible:
At least some messaging along the lines of: '0 Photos'
