[Bug 1270737] Re: webapp-container not installed by default - webapps fail to launch
Not a bug in webbrowser-app itself.
This was fixed by adding webapp-container to the ubuntu-touch seed.
** Changed in: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Invalid

Title:
webapp-container not installed by default - webapps fail to launch
Status in “webbrowser-app” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
webbrowser-app was recently split into two executables: /usr/bin
/webbrowser-app is the actual browser application, and /usr/bin
/webapp-container is the webapps container.
For backward compatibility, the browser application re-executes the
webapp container in place if it detects an intent to launch a webapp.
This works nicely if the webapp container is present, but it appears
we forgot to add it to the seed. As a consequence, all webapps fail to
launch (only displaying a white screen with no indication of what
happened).
Installing webapp-container solves the problem.
