Title:
Lack of VP8 decoder freezes mediaplayer-app
Status in “mediaplayer-app” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Hi,
Trying to play big_buck_bunny_480p_VP8_VORBIS_25fps_1900K.WebM from http://samplemedia.linaro.org/ I got mediaplayer-app freezing, presumably because it couldn't decode video:
Warning: "No decoder available for type 'video/x-vp8, width=(int)854, height=(int)480, pixel-aspect-ratio=(fraction)1/1, framerate=(fraction)25/1'."
the whole UI froze, couldn't go back to unity, but adb shell worked
and turning screen on/off worked.
Could hear the last audio sample play in a loop.
No mediaplayer-app crash file.
Cheers,
