Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  (1) Log in to the unity 8 desktop session
  (2) click on the Browser icon
  (3) application crashes immediately

  This is and continues to be a ship-stopper blocking use of the Unity 8
  Desktop Session.

  Originally reported as bug #1307709, but that bug morphed into
  something unrelated.
