Bug description:
notes-app fails to launch on unity8 with mir. Unity with Mir
authenticates apps based on their desktop file. If a process tries to
connect to Mir, and is not clear to unity8 it has a desktop file
associated, that connection will be rejected and the app probably
crashes.
This is happening with notes-app.
Note in the SurfaceFlinger case, the
--desktop_file_hint=/path/to/desktop/file.desktop is added in
explicitly by upstart-app-launch scripts. But this is not done for
Mir.
Would suggest using this line in the desktop file, instead of the wrapper script:
Exec=qmlscene /usr/share/notes-app/Notes.qml %u (if they take a URL)
