Title:
Ubuntu touch browser becomes out-of-date too fast.
Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Day by day more and more favourite sites could not be shown with
ubuntu touch browser on Aquaris M10.
The external apperances of this are different. On some sites
JavaScript does not work on my tablet (bad layouts, some input fields
does not show the soft keyboard, especially password fields, problems
with navigation over input form fields), sometimes text is not
layouted/formatted at all (for example, ulmart.ru).
Some sites (which use captcha, for example) say "use supported
browser" (they worked fine a year ago).
Some sites says that sertificate is not checked, and does not show
them any more (aliexpress.com).
I do not experience this on other divices, even with pretty old
android 4.2 - 4.4, on iOS tablet, on Windows 8.1 tablet, and of course
ondesktops with different OSes.
And finally I found that it's unique browser I cannot manage
individual coockies! It's amazing!
So currently I can read/use just 3-4 sites of my usual and favourite
30-40. It's pretty funny to own absolutely useless network device.
So, what happened tu ubuntu touch browser? It there any way to bring
it to working condition?
Please do not advice me to use firefox instead. It's extremely hard to
navigate in tablet mode.
