When you say letters do you mean [a-zA-Z] or do you allow Unicode
letters as well? Also, it was a little bit interesting to me that the
version only allows numbers as the versions of our core apps are not
doing that currently. I'm fine with that restriction, but it's very
"non-Debian" way of doing versions. Does anyone see an issue with
loosing things like "+devbranch14" ?
