The phrasing here concerns me. Are packages declaring *support for* a
specific framework and version, implying a "suggests" or "recommends"
kind of relationship; or are they declaring *dependence on* a specific
framework and version, implying a "requires" kind of relationship?
The Click Index has been developed along the lines of the latter -
packages declare the frameworks they *require* to run, and clients
pass the list of *supported* frameworks in the query, so we can filter
out packages that declare an unmet dependency.
We don't currently support a "suggests" or "recommends" dependency
either in the Software Centre or Click Index.
