Status in Ubuntu Manual: Fix Released
Bug description:
In the Ubuntu Manual, on page 12, there is a grammatical mistake.
Windows or Mac applications will not run on Ubuntu. For the vast majority of applica-
tions that most people use, there are suitable free alternatives available in Ubuntu. The
rest are generally professional applications (such as the Adobe Creative suite) — if you
absolutely cannot live without the latest Adobe software, then Ubuntu may not be for
you.
It is most definitely not Windows *OR* Mac apps won't run. If that were the case, you could click a button and say "Let me run Windwos apps for the rest of my life on Ubuntu, but i know i wont be able to run Mac apps if I click this button." Please fix it to say "Windows AND Mac applications" furthermore, "will not run" is misleading. it should be "do not run" as users may install Wine which allows Ubuntu to run a limited number of windows apps. Therefore, Ubuntu *will* run Windows apps if Wine is installed.
Just some grammatical mistakes that I found should be easy to correct..
