It might be possible to use a javascript code to do this that pulls
directly from the site in question. Pros: (a) no special libraries
needed server side (b) no extra processing needed server side. Cons: (a)
it might only work with one service (i.e. only twitter or only identica)

Bug description:
it's be great to make the main page more interesting. We're using the tag #locoteams on social networks and it'd be nice when it fully takes off to display the tag here and show the last few mentions.
