  merge team function broken

Status in LoCo Directory:
  New

Bug description:
  I get the below error when attempting to merge washingtonstate and
  ubuntu-washington loco directory teams. These two teams came about
  because we renamed our launchpad group to conform to the guidlines for
  loco teams.

  LoCo Directory has encountered an Error!

  Please try your request again.
