[Bug 730326] Re: Mailing attendees of an event

Right now, we aren't even able to get emails to people who have made
their email addresses private in Launchpad. We have also discussed the
security implications of sending outgoing emails from Canonical's
servers, I'd have to follow up with dholbach to see how far that
conversation got with the sysadmins.

Title:
  Mailing attendees of an event

Status in LoCo Directory:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When the LD first came up the idea of once an event was created we
could mail the team about it so we could point them directly at the LD
was mentioned, I still think this is good

But right now, what I'd love to see is, a way to mail all the people
signed up to an event as attending or might be attending to the event
so I can remind them or jog their memory in case they signed up way in
  advance

Right now I want to contact the people on
  http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/team/615/detail/ who have indicated they
may come and others are coming so I can let them know of any changes
  to the event.
