[Bug 749885] Re: Pulling images from flickr should be from a Group, not a user
This is already possible (since last 0.3.1)
See this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/loco-directory/+bug/713727
Ubuntu-NL already uses flickr groups

Title:
Pulling images from flickr should be from a Group, not a user
Status in LoCo Directory:
Invalid
Bug description:
Right now, the LD requires a username to pull images from flickr. This
means that either:
1) Only one person's flickr photos can be shown on the team's homepage
or
2) People have to upload their photos to a shared flickr account thereby:
A) Losing all correct attribution/copyright information (who took the photo and holds the copyright), without adding text to the description which is ugly and isn't noticed by automatic crawlers of flickr. Also, this makes it harder for people to specific the license they want for their own photos.
B) The account credentials must be shared with *everyone* who took photos. Not safe. Or, the photos have to be sent to someone to upload them on behalf of another person. Not easy/nice.
Instead of either of those, we should point to a flickr Group.
http://www.flickr.com/groups/ (visit that page when not logged in to
get the overview). That group should be a group that the LoCo team
created for the purpose of sharing LoCo related photos on flickr. That
is what they (groups) were made for.
