I can confirm if use "nickname" is checked when signing in to ltp that
it will work howver people did run into this issue in Oregon too.

  launch Mozilla Browser (Firefox 14.0a1 2012-03-18),

  Go to K-W meetings for April - See link for register

  http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/ubuntu-ca/1610/detail/

  Think existing e-mail is active, was wrong, create new user ID.

  Log In to LaunchPad.net

  use e-mail address (xxx@xxxxxxxx)

  click on link again.

  get this error  Message.:
