I am making a good progress on this and here is what's need to be done : 
- Backward compatible urls
- More work on rrule options (UI)
- ICal with occurrences rule
- Allow to edit/cancel occurence
- Comments on occurences
- Change the allow the view to display occurrences instead of events.

  Allow recurring events

Status in LoCo Team Portal:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Many teams have events which are recurring; Ubuntu Hours, Michigan
  LoCo's weekly "CoffeeHouseCoders", etc.

  It would be nice if we could have the option to do that
  efficientiently in LoCo Directory. :)
