  Google Calendar unable to parse .ics file

Status in LoCo Team Portal:

Bug description:
  I've noticed the Ubuntu Michigan .ics file is unable to be parsed by
  Google Calendar. This is causing our events to not show up under
  Google Calendar. Another member experienced the same issue, although
  he was able to parse it with the Python vobject library.

  Not sure what changed as the .ics file used to work with Google
  Calendar.
