Yet another update: the snap name has been granted to me.  I published a
local build using "snapcraft upload".  I've now filed a request for new
tracks for this snap:

This snap is registered under my name.  The cassandra snap is registered
under Snapcrafters, and there are other idionsyncrasies there.
Eventually, we should work towards making things more uniform
w.r.t. ownership and licensing of our snaps.
