[Bug 244057] Re: Hibernate with SD does not work
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.devel/46211
Basically it's a chicken egg problem. The kernel doesn't know whether
something has been plugged in while asleep, so it disconnects the USB
drives and leaves reconnecting them up to the distro. Which in turns
needs a working root, urgh.

Hibernate with SD does not work

Status in Ubuntu Eee: Confirmed
Bug description:
If installed on an SD card hibernate does not work. The system comes up again and prints out warning (sdb assuming write through cache IIRC). It is not possible to start new applications or use the ones running. Sometimes an i/o error is shown. I believe I read that the SD is not re-mounted so that might be the problem.
