This is because the 901 & 1000 have different wired/wireless drivers.
The origional modules and instructions used for the 2G, 4G, 70x and 900
are useless on the 901 and later.

The missing modules are atl1e.ko and rt2860sta.ko, respectivly.
Unfortunately the stock linux code is not sufficient: original drivers
need downloaded from the vendor.

I plan on releasing an update for my eeepc kernel this week which will
contain the missing modules. Unfortunately, since I don't own a 901 or
1000, I cannot test the new modules for myself.
