Yes I know the Ubuntu Eee and have already tried it. The problem is that
it still doesn't support the 901 out of the box and as I understand the
blog it will not have all the drivers for the 901 in the next release,
either.

I found an ebay seller who offers ready to use SD cards now, but he only
supports 701 and 900 yet :-(
