Don't underestimate google: a quick search for "zsnes ubuntu eee no
sound" will give you a solution.

Open a terminal and run zsnes this way: 'zsnes -ad sdl' and you'll get
sound. It worked quite all right for me.

You only have to do this once, it will remember this setting.
