[Question #46001]: p4_clockmod making 900 unusable on battery power
New question #46001 on Ubuntu Eee:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/46001
I noticed considerable slowdown on my 900 16g while on battery power (gnome ui in general became very sluggish), despite having the same "ondemand" cpu scaling governor setting for both ac and battery.
On top of this I also noticed a regular (if tiny, maybe 50ms) lockup every 30 seconds exactly. Very noticeable when attempting to play music/video on battery, but easy to miss otherwise.
Forcing the scaling governor setting to "performance" when on battery reduced the problem but there was still a clear glitch every 30 seconds. Only by removing p4_clockmod am I able to use my 900 on battery power without glitches and slowdowns.
Anyone else notice this? I assume battery life will be significantly affected.
