[Question #48119]: can only connect wireless 801.11g but not 801.11n

New question #48119 on Ubuntu Eee:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/48119

I wonder if it is even possible, as i have read various posts in different places with zero answers on this.
Setup is a eee 1000h, dual boot XP / ubuntu-eee 8.04.1 with all the latest updates.
Wireless works with wpa2 but i can not connect with 801.11n, no problem in xp but in ubuntu-eee i get only g-54 with 100% signal strength. Now I know the eee is compatible with my router a D-Link dir-615, so the bug must be either in the config files (no idea really what to look for) or in the driver. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
