Re: [Question #49401]: Wifi not working after upgrade
Question #49401 on Ubuntu Eee changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/49401
Ursus88 requested for more information:
I have a similar problem. I installed Ubuntu 8.04.1 on an Asus Eee PC
901. It seems that I cannot use the wireless (though iwconfig shows my
wireless device) and the built-in camera doesn't work with Cheese. I'm
not sure how to fix these. I did a "sudo apt-get update" and it seemed
to get a lot from www.array.org/ubuntu hardy eeepc. I am able to use
the Fn-F2 to toggle the wireless on and off, but I still can't connect
through the wireless. I have no idea what to do with the built-in
camera (off to search yet again for more stuff).
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. It's my kid's system
(she's 12). I can connect fine using an Ethernet cable, but the
wireless won't work at all ... and that would be best for her needs at
school.
Thanks in advance.
