[Question #50994]: Getting a 1000H in the next few days.. few questions..

Firstly, I can't find one, but is there date yet for Ubuntu eee 8.10? I want 8.10 and don't want to go and put 8.04 on and have to go uprading. Or shall I just put the standard Ubuntu 8.10 on it and go pull my hair out for a while getting everything working?

2nd question, am I correct to understand that even if I install Ubuntu eee I can still get a proper Gnome desktop that I know and love? :)
