I booted the latest u-eee from a thumbdrive and it ran fine.  Was a
little spooked when it started an install dialog on my brand new EEE PC
1000. I just wanted to play with it, not overwrite my default Xandros
installation.  I was able to cancel my way out just fine.  Wireless
worked out of the box so I was pleased.  I then attempted to RESTART the
EEE using the shutdown/restart icon, but it only shutdown and never
restarted back up.  I pulled the thumbdrive and press and held the power
button to shut it down.  Is this a similar bug as above?

Bug description:
Version: Ubuntu eee 8.0.4.1
System: eeePC 901
User: linux noob

I just decided to reinstall because I had mucked some stuff up and discovered a problem that I had ignored in the first install thinking that it was a one-time quirk.  After the install process, at the very end you get a button that says "Restart", but clicking it does not restart the machine.  It seems to be non-functional, at least on my 901.  I had to hold down the power button to shut down and now I recall I had to do the same thing the first time around.  Did anyone else see this?
