You can grap the initial user name with a little patch to user-setupp-apply, and modify the file /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom (probably this must done later, i don't know if this file exists when user-setup-apply is called) ___ Mirthas  

With the release of Easy Peasy 1.0 auto login can be chosen when
installed --ramvi
