[Bug 275421] Re: wrong 900 touchpad driver

OK so I have reinstalled easypeasy 1.0 and here are the complete steps
to get the elantech touchpad driver working.

1. Edit /etc/modprobe.d/eeepc -- remove comment from line "modprobe psmouse elantech=1"
2. Create /etc/hal/fdi/policy/x11-elantech.fdi (see attached)
3. Reboot

When you do this, the touchpad tab will appear in the Mouse preferences
application. To see more of the exotic controls available for the
touchpad in a GUI you will need to add a repository (array.org?? not
sure) and install the gsynaptics-elantech package.

Bug description:
One of the only reasons I switched from the old to the new Ubuntu EEE was to see if the touchpad drivers had been properly updated. They haven't. Though the touchpad works, it's almost impossible to turn the touchpad off while typing (which is extremely important to anyone like me who has big hands and uses the EEE for serious writing).
