Re: [Question #56027]: disable touchpad tapping
Question #56027 on Easy Peasy changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/56027
Tommy Trussell proposed the following answer:
oops ... in case it's not clear, in step 3 you are creating an empty
file and insert the text between the lines at the bottom. That "magic"
file contains all sorts of basic incantations to make the touchpad work.
You will notice when you do this, a Touchpad tab will appear in the
Mouse preferences application. There is a more "complete" touchpad
control application floating around... the package to install is called
synaptics-elantech -- but it's in another repository that you will have
to add.
HOWEVER the disable while typing should work now. (Just be sure to undo
the xorg.conf changes and any other random files that got dropped
around. I did a reinstall of EasyPeasy to be certain this is all it
takes.)
You received this question notification because you are a member of
Ubuntu Eee Coders, which is an answer contact for Easy Peasy.
