[Bug 182489] Re: Atheros wireless (AR5007) not working on ASUS Eee PC
err... one aimed towards John McCourt.
Windows Doesn't just work. I have installed Ubuntu on an Asus Eee (4G)
and ran into little problems, the wifi Driver is relatively easy to get
working. it just needs a bit of a patch.
complaining that something doesn't work "out of the box" and saying that
you'll install windows just makes me laugh, how much hardware do you
think will work "out of the box" with that? - without having to install
other drivers from other disks or the net....
anyway, Thanks James, that patch worked on Intrepid for me too.

The Eee PC has non-working wireless out of the box. A patch is available from the madwifi website:
http://madwifi.org/ticket/1679
I'd like to have working wireless in hardy, without having to patch/compile manually :)
