Status in “linux” source package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
After upgrading to Intrepid, I noticed that usplash stopped working on my ThinkPad T61 with Intel 965GM graphics. I see a flashing red screen with some variations in color. I can't tell whether they correspond to any on-screen content. If I wait long enough, X eventually starts, and the X driver is able to get the graphics adapter into a sane state. However, switching back to a text console reveals that things are still garbled beyond recognition.
I booted back into 2.6.24 with the same Intrepid installation, and got a normal usplash display. I didn't check switching to a text console there.
