[Bug 182489] Re: Atheros wireless (AR5007) not working on various laptops, including the ASUS Eee PC
Also tested Intrepid alfa 5 on Eee PC 701, 512MB / 4GB
Wireless still does not work out of the box, but with a minimal change
it does.
Just blacklist the ath_pci module and reboot. Wireless will be working
with no problem.
To blacklist the module:
$ sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
Then, add this line to the file:
blacklist ath_pci

The Eee PC has non-working wireless out of the box. A patch is available from the madwifi website:
http://madwifi.org/ticket/1679
I'd like to have working wireless in hardy, without having to patch/compile manually :)
