[Bug 182489] Re: Atheros wireless (AR5007) not working on various laptops, including the ASUS Eee PC

On my EeePC 701 running Intrepid, blacklisting the ath_pci makes the
wireless card 'work' but I can't connect to any access points. It seems
to connect, try to get an IP address then disconnect.

wpa_supplicant.log goes from key negotiation completed to -> CTRL-EVENT-CONNECTED then hits
"No network configuration found for the current AP
CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED - Disconnect event - remove keys"

Any ideas?

The Eee PC has non-working wireless out of the box. A patch is available from the madwifi website:

http://madwifi.org/ticket/1679

I'd like to have working wireless in hardy, without having to patch/compile manually :)
