I am running a real hardware.
It's only freezing the tty7, I can login to other consoles. I thing Gnome-shell is freezing.

Linux fanl-desktop 3.12.0-7-generic #15-Ubuntu SMP Sun Dec 8 23:39:27 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It is and I3 4th gen with embedded GPU, 8GB RAM, SSD 64GB SATA3.

Please test with gnome-shell 3.10 from Gnome3 PPA (ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3). If you are still experiencing freezes with that version, then file a bug using `ubuntu-bug gnome-shell` (after shell has frozen)

My first suggestion would be to install a fresh Ubuntu GNOME daily build and see if you have the same problem.

Subject: [Ubuntugnome-qa] Help-me to diagnose this freeze

Hello!

I am running the Gnome Trusty Thar and the Gnome interface frequently freezes. I can access the other tty consoles through the keyboard shortcut but I couldn't find the process that freezes. Tried to kill gnome-shell but the tty7 doesn't unfreeze.

How can I diagnose it?
