[Ubuntugnome-qa] Fw: Fwd: [Call for testing] gnome-desktop 3.10

I didn't share this with the team because I don't think attachments play well with our message archives :^)

Hi Tim,

Sorry again for the long delay. Still no mouse pointer and I couldn't even get a terminal to launch using the typical keyboard shortcuts so it was tricky :^)

I added "> debug.white.txt" to the second command so I could access it from a lateral install. Let me know if you get this OK. If not I'll open a bug at launchpad or paste it into a forum post.

Lance

PS: Those packages seem mostly OK in Ubuntu GNOME except I think boot is slower (I get a black screen for maybe 15 to 20 seconds just before the desktop appears) and I'll try and get to testing Unity sometime later today.

Yeh, ppa gets broken every few hours ;(

All those packages need to rebuild against gnome-desktop update or things wont install.

the main changes however are limited to:
gnome-desktop
gnome-settings-daemon
gnome-control-center

and specifically stuff affecting display configuration and idle monitor
