Re: [Ubuntugnome-qa] Recent flashback "bug fix" breaks the new GNOME Classic menus

Alberts seems to be on top of this:

I've already tested part #1 of the fix, and it seems fine.

I'll be sure and cross-test for any regressions or ill-effects regarding the gnome-shell or gnome classic sessions.

Thanks, Lance

Alacarte will need to be patched to pick up the new flashback menu

Sorry I didn't catch this earlier but please look at these two bug reports:

The problem is that the Main Menu editing buttons in flashback still map to "alacarte" which fails to work in a flashback session but sadly edits the new classic menu if the package 'alacarte' is installed.

I'm at a loss here. Do we need to edit 'alacarte'?

It does work to have the Main Menu edit buttons simply map to ""alacarte gnome-flashback
-applications. menu" in flashback?
I hope we don't have to revert to the bloated menu in flashback but it's certainly worse to break our existing Classic session IMHO.

Any thoughts?
