Hello Everyone,

Hello James and thanks a lot for your email :)

I did a fresh install of the latest release candidate last night on a Dell XPS laptop.  Installation went smoothly and I was quickly up and running with a great looking machine.

Great to know that :)

I found an issue with the Ubuntu software centre when trying to install previously purchased software.  The 'File -> Reinstall Previous Purchases...' menu option was not working (It should normally pop up a dialog box asking for a SSO identity).  Running the software-centre from the command line indicated that 'ubuntu-sso-login-qt' could not be found.  This was fixed by installing the \ubuntu-sso-client-qt' package.

Thanks to share this. I'm not a fan of Software Centers at all and never use that.
Hope someone else could confirm this?

I noticed that the details panel is still reflecting Ubuntu 13.10.  I'm not sure if this is intentional or not at this stage?

WOW, many are asking about that :D

Thanks for asking. We're aware of this:

I posted the same on Facebook and Twitter but didn't share it here so I just did :)

Thanks to all involved for the hard work that has gone into this release.

Thank you for choosing and testing Ubuntu GNOME and thanks for your nice and kind words :)

Best regards

Jim
