Re: [Ubuntugnome-qa] Losing faith

Hi there :)

For the longest time, Ubuntu Gnome was the best thing going.

The first unofficial release was 12.10 [1] and the first official one was 13.04 so we're still young :)

With the release of 14.04, that's obviously not the case any longer.

I respect your opinion and I'm sorry about that.

The WiFi handling has apparently taken 3rd (or worse) seat to a lot of less important (and foolish) embellishments.

What exactly that suppose to mean? I'm sorry, I tired to understand what you mean here but I couldn't ... could you please explain better?! more details maybe?

I am now forced with the uncomfortable situation of waiting for you folks to get your act together, going back to 13.04, or giving up on Gnome in it's entirety.

Going back to 13.04 which has reached its EOL? in what sense? I'm having hard time to understand what exactly you're trying to say here?!

I do development work, and can really no longer afford to put up with a flaky, unreliable environment.

You mean you're a developer? if yes, then IMHO instead of complaining, you can simply help and fix whatever you see/think is broken ;)

Complaining or sharing such incomplete feedback is not going to help anyone at all, I'm afraid.

Thanks for your previous (and hopefully) your future endeavors - Craig Nelson

You're most welcome and we, as volunteers and 'not' getting paid for whatever we do here, are more than happy to carry on :)

And, I'd like to use this quote if I may:

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
However, we are really doing our best here :)

One more thing, this mailing list is for QA for the current development cycle and not for the stable releases :)
If you have problems/feedback for 14.04, you need to use the main mailing list [2] :)

Thank you for your email, appreciate that!
