Hey Lance,
I saw your emails along with the original announcement, was trying to chase up with Ali whether to opt-in or opt out. From a technical
perspective it makes litttle sense,

Then I'd "vote" for opting out of Alpha 1. Alpha 2 is scheduled for July 30th.

but there is always keeping the testers active bit that important.

You can always just give a shout out for testing when vital parts of GNOME have landed.

Perhaps you could take lead on Alpha 1 and run this one through? I know you have your issues, but its not a huge step up from what you are
doing now!

I'm not at all sure what that would entail. That mild stroke 14 months ago has really slowed me down, and I'm a lot more mistake-prone now than prior to that event. So I'm very reluctant to take on any more and, in all honesty, I'm just unreliable at this point.

Maybe another member of the QA team could step up and perform some of the tasks required for future milestones???????

Hi, I tried forwarding the message from the release team to Tim's feathertop address and to our QA mailing list twice yesterday but I see my
two messages are not showing up in the Ubuntu GNOME QA mailing list archives so I'm trying once again w/o forwarding this message:

Opt-in alpha-1 next week <https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-release/2015-June/003291.html>

Can someone please let Stéphane know if we're opting in or not? And also let us iso/upgrade testers know.

Thanks, Lance
