Hi Tim and Ali,

Hi everyone :)

Sorry for the late reply ...

I cc'ed the qa list so we can hopefully get more testers involved.

Good idea ;)

g-s-d/g-c-c has gone through now, but just missed out on it for 20150819 image, it will be in the next one built.

Maybe I can use a 20150819 image w/persistence and apt-get update + apt-get install  gnome-settings-daemon gnome-control-center ????

Hi Ali and Lance,
Its been a big week here with the Bluez5 transition and now the final bits of core GNOME (g-s-d/g-c-c) which is migrating through -proposed
and should land this evening. Would be good if you guys can drum up some testing for prior to the beta 1 freeze, since once we get there, its
really only installer bugs that can get through.

The bits that could use testing:
bluetooth support

I have no bluetooth capable devices in house. Can someone out there help us with bluetooth testing? Anyone?

To be very honest, I have never ever used Bluetooth on this machine, AFAIK and IIRC. I don't even know whether I have bluetooth here or not? I'll check and do my best :)

and panel in g-c-c
sharing panel in g-c-c (we still stuck with ancient gnome-user-share, but maybe can sneak an update through after feature freeze if needed to
fix big bugs)
online-accounts (is stuck at 3.14 but I don't think that is a problem)
and just random smoke testing of other general settings etc..

Ive not yet landed the lang pack install code into g-c-c, since yet again another person disappeared! I'll try and get that in after beta 1

gnome-getting-started-docs has landed though and seems to be working nicely

Tim

My right arm and hand are barely usable due to a torn rotator cuff so I'm slower than usual because I'm right handed but I'll do my best.

Sorry about that. Get well soon!

I'm not very well too but can move so thank God, I can't complain.

I imagine we should definitely opt-in for Beta 1 next week??????

Sure, we skipped A1 and A2 but we're definitely in for B1 and B2 :)

Lance

Thank you!
