The fix for this issue was released in gpredict 1.1-3ubuntu1 in Ubuntu
Lucid (or possibly an earlier version). Gpredict now uses the system
libgoocanvas, instead of clashing with it.

I am marking this bug as a duplicate of bug #192518, as the problem and
its resolution are being tracked there.   Please see

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/libgoocanvas-common_0.9-0ubuntu1_all.deb: Versuche, »/usr/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/goocanvas.mo« zu überschreiben, welches auch in Paket gpredict ist

I cannot install the package libgoocanvas. I alwas get the error message saved above.
